Neuschwanstein Excursion, November 4th [1]

The Twelfth World Microcomputer Chess Championship took place from October 31 to November 7, 1993, at Weinfurtner's Garden-Hotel [2] , Munich Schwabing, Bavaria, Germany. The WMCCC 1993 was organized by the ICCA and editors of the German computer chess magazine Computerschach und Spiele, which was also primary sponsor of the event [3].

Three dedicated machines played in the Manufacturers Group, each playing eight with each of the other two. The Software Group was well attended with 28 programs contesting a nine round Swiss tournament.

As reported by Chrilly Donninger [12], Nimzo happily sacrificed the knight with 61... Nxb7, winning the game due to a bug. A winning score was given, applying the Rule of the Square for its black passer. Instead, as intended, with White having no pieces to make the e-pawn unstoppable, the winning score was enabled by Black without pieces [13]!
