BreakThrough,
a chess program by Werner Koch, which participated at three World Microcomputer Chess Championships, the WMCCC 1993 in Munich running on a SPARC processor, the WMCCC 1995 in Paderborn and the WMCCC 1996 in Jakarta [1], as well as various International Paderborn Computer Chess Championships. In its evaluation, BreakThrough considers rather complex tactical motives, such as overloaded pieces.
