Guillaume Chaslot,
a French computer scientist, and software engineer. Previously affiliated with Google, he now has founded his own company AlgoTransparency [2] and is engaged at Bayes impact, a group of practical idealists who believe that applied properly, data can be used to solve the world's biggest problems [3].
He holds a Ph.D. in 2010 from Maastricht University on Monte-Carlo Tree Search [4], working in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Guillaume Chaslot is co-autor of the Backgammon program MCgammon, along with Jahn-Takeshi Saito author of the Go playing program Mango, and contributor of MoGo, both using Monte-Carlo Tree Search and patterns in the simulations and improvements in UCT [5].
