Mephisto Amsterdam,
a dedicated chess computer module with a 68000 CPU at 12 MHz for Mephisto module systems by Hegener & Glaser with a Psion based program [2] by Richard Lang persistent in 64 KiB of ROM, using 16 KiB of RAM. At the WMCCC 1985 in Amsterdam, Richard Lang won his first of eight World Microcomputer Chess Championship titles under the Mephisto brand. Mephisto Amsterdam I, running on a 32-bit 68020 workstation was ahead of Mephisto Amsterdam II and III, already running on 68000 module prototypes.
