Paul Lu,
a Canadian computer scientist and associate professor at Department of Computing Science, University of Alberta.
His research interests include high-performance computing, Metacomputing, and Bioinformatics.
He developed Aurora [2] , a distributed shared data (DSD) system based on a standard C++ class library and run-time system.
The system exploits language mechanisms for creating abstract data types and does not contain any language extensions.
Paul Lu further was member of the Chinook team, solving Checkers in 2007, and worked on its parallel game tree search and endgame database construction [3].
