Mike Clarke
Michael R.B. (Mike) Clarke († 1994),
was a British statistician and computer scientist at University of London Institute of Computer Science (ICS), since 1974, head of CS and Statistics at Queen Mary, University of London [1]. He researched and published on computer chess, organized the Advances in Computer Chess 3 conference, 1981 in London, and was editor of the proceedings of Advances in Computer Chess 1 [2], Advances in Computer Chess 2 and Advances in Computer Chess 3 [3]. He was chess player [4] and chess composer. Michael Clarke deceased in early 1994 of stomach cancer [5].
