InterChess,
a chess program by Michael Borgstädt and forerunner of Goliath. InterChess played the WMCCC 1996 in Jakarta, operated by Wolfgang Traudes. While the ICGA tournament site mentions Wolfgang Traudes as engine programmer [1], the ICCA Journal tournament report by Ratih Dewanti lists Borgstädt along with Grabusic as InterChess authors [2]. Other sources name Michael Borgstädt alone [3]. Michael Borgstädt, who cooperated with Heureka author Gerold Fischer and his partners at that time, contradicted rumours that InterChess and Heureka were double entries in Jakarta, and according to Bruce Moreland, said that they did have both of those entries, but different code bases [4].
