Wolfram Wolff,
a German computer scientist and former chess programmer. While affiliated with the Technical University of Munich during the late 70s, he worked with Thomas Nitsche and Elmar Henne on the parallel chess program Parwell, which performed a distributed search on a 128 processor Siemens SMS 201 computer. Parwell played the ECCC 1979 in London [1], and the WCCC 1980 in Linz [2].
