Thomas C. (Tom) Kerrigan,
an American software developer and computer chess programmer, who already got hooked on computer chess as a 13-year-old growing up in Fort Collins, Colorado, playing the Chessmaster on a friend's PC [2]. Inspired by the 1978 articles by Peter W. Frey and Larry Atkin on Chess 0.5 in BYTE magazine [3], he started the development his chess program Stobor in 1993, and further wrote the didactic open source chess program TSCP [4]. While still focusing on Stobor and its parallel search, Tom Kerrigan's recent project is tChess, a chess program for the iPhone and iPod touch [5]
