Decapoda [1]

SEE, (SEEChess, Decapod)
a Chess Engine Communication Protocol aka WinBoard compliant chess engine by Tor Lattimore, written in C++ started in about March 2003 [2]. After some trials with MTD(f) [3], SEE applies PVS based alpha-beta with transposition table, null move pruning, killer- and history heuristic, and generates moves with a 0x88 board and pawn attack tables [4].

Tournament Play

SEE had its tournament debut at the NC3 2003 Australasian National Computer Chess Championship, under the name Decapod. It further played, the NC3 2004, NC3 2005 and NC3 2006, still referred as Decapod in the entry lists, and the CCT6 and CCT7 CCT Tournaments in 2004 and 2005.
