Hal Terrie [1]

Henry L. (Hal) Terrie,
an American chess player recognized as National Chess Master, Life Master by the USCF, Correspondence Chess Master [2], chess educator and trainer. Later Grandmaster Joshua Friedel at age six was his most prominent student. During the 70s at Dartmouth College, along with Warren Montgomery, Danny Kopec, David Levner et al., Hal Terrie contributed to the university chess program Dartmouth CP, the program that challenged Northwestern's ascendancy at ACM 1973 [3]. With his long term collaborator Danny Kopec, Hal Terrie co-authored Test, Evaluate, and Improve your Chess, third edition in 2013 [4].
