Cock de Gorter,
was a Dutch computer chess expert (passed away on June 16, 2019), tournament organizer, opening book author, and former chairman of the Dutch Computer Chess Federation (CSVN). He was primary initiator and organizer of the famous Aegon Man-Machine Tournaments and book author of the chess programs The King, Fritz, famous for WCCC 1995 games versus Deep Blue Prototype and the playoff versus Star Socrates [2] [3] and Tao, as well as various dedicated chess computers.
