Haw-ren Fang,
a Taiwanese mathematician, computer scientist, software engineer and former research associate at University of Minnesota. He holds a B.Sc. in mathematics (1995) and M.Sc. (1997) in computer science and information engineering from National Taiwan University, and a M.Sc. (2003) and Ph.D. (2006) in mathematics from University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests include numerical linear algebra and analysis, numerical optimization, machine learning and data mining, and computer games.
