Logica, 1546 [1]

Twisted Logic,
an UCI compliant chess engine written by Edsel Apostol in C. Twisted Logic was first released in August 2005 [2] and over time increased in strength from about 1600 to 2650 RUEL. An early 2007 version is available as open source licensed under the GNU GPL [3]. It is a clearly written didactic bitboard engine, with rudimentary search and evaluation, and was base of later Twisted Logic versions as well for Hannibal.

Tournament Play

Twisted Logic played the WCRCC 2008 and WCRCC 2009, as well the CCT10 and CCT11, and over the board the Italian CCC 2009.
