Stephen J.J. Smith [1]

Stephen Joseph J. Smith,
an American computer scientist and lead programmer [2] at Great Game Products, the makers of 'Bridge Baron, the 1997 world champion of computer bridge, where he along with Dana S. Nau and Thomas A. Throop developed the AI-planning techniques [3]. He holds a Ph.D. in 1997 from University of Maryland, College Park on search and planning applied to Bridge [4], and co-authored several papers on that topic as well on forward pruning [5].
