Arkadiusz Paterek [1]

Arkadiusz Paterek,
a Polish computer and data scientist with interests in programming, machine learning, recommender system and deep learning [2], and chess player [3]. He holds a masters degree from University of Warsaw, with a thesis entitled Modeling of an evaluation function in chess [4], elaborating on the single-layer perceptron design of an evaluation function. Inspired by Michael Buro's GLEM approach [5] in the domain of Othello, Arkadiusz Paterek used his own chess program Gosu, to tune its evaluation by logistic regression.
