Marc-François Baudot's and Jean-Christophe Weill's third chess program and as successor of Cumulus completely written in 8086 Assembly language, while Cumulus was written in C with a few assembly routines [2].

Tournament Play

Écume already played the WCCC 1992, but still called Cumulus then [3]. Écume further played the 12th World Microcomputer Chess Championship 1993 in Munich, the Aubervilliers Rapid Open 1994, and the Aegon 1994.
