Thomas Kolarik,
an American graduated physicist from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, system analyst, part time tennis instructor [3] , and author of the UCI compliant chess engine Nirvanachess [4] . With some interests in playing chess, he started Nirvanachess as a side project in his Freshman year of college in about 2010, with the motivation to learn C/C++ and to start a project that would keep him occupied for a while.
