a chess program by Christopher Lutz written in Turbo C and 68000 Assembly for the Atari ST. Bernie participated at the First IPCCC 1991 in Paderborn running on a 1040STE with 1,000 nodes per second, and became shared third with 3/5, tied with Check Check behind Zugzwang on 256 transputers and Bobby II [1]. Recognizing the amount of work to furher improve his program, Christopher Lutz then decided to better invest his time in his own chess playing career [2].
