Wolfgang Pähtz [1]

Wolfgang Pähtz,
a German chess player, chess collector and former chess programmer. While affiliated with VEB Mikroelektronik „Karl Marx“ Erfurt, Wolfgang Pähtz was involved in the development of the the Chess-Master Diamond, responsible for the dedicated user interface and opening book [2], and ported the Chess-Master program to run on a KC 85/2 personal computer (an Amstrad CPC clone) as Video Chess-Master. Wolfgang Pähtz, brother of Thomas Pähtz, is uncle of the German chess Woman Grandmaster Elisabeth Pähtz [3].
