Mark Hummel,
an Australian software developer, entrepreneur, investor, co-author of the stock market trading program Merchant of Venice

with interests in chess programming, and artificial intelligence in general.
He is author of the chess engine HexxPawn, which played various Australasian National Computer Chess Championships,
and was also an early entry in the ANU Carbon-Silicon Tournaments before 1998 [4].
