Ares I-X [1]

Ares,
an UCI compliant chess engine by Charles Roberson released in 2009 in honor of the NASA Ares I-X space rocket [2]. Developed under Linux, Windows executables are available to run under UCI capable GUIs. Based on bitboards, Ares takes advantage of x86-64 architecture including 64-bit population count. Ares is designed for human like, entertaining playing style, and is therefor suitable for game analysis and match/tournament preparation [3].
