Happy-Chess (Masterchess v1.2),
a chess program for the Commodore 64 by Thomas Starke, written in 6502 assembly

published by the German Happy Computer magazine in 1988 as part of the C64 game collection Vol. 4
[3].
Happy-Chess has an own 2D graphics board graphical user interface. It can only play with the black pieces.
