William (Bill) Jordan,
an Australian chess player, FIDE Master,
in 1974 Australian Junior Champion, in 1997 Australian Postal champion [2], chess coach and writer, as well as software developer with focus on chess software.
Computer Chess
As computer chess programmer Bill Jordan is author of various chess tools and the WinBoard compliant chess engines Bills Bare Bones Chess and Awesome. His program Chess Memory was inspired by Adriaan de Groot's cognitive experiments. One has to memorize positions from a series displayed for 10 seconds each to receive a percent score [3] .
