Yoshikuni Sato,
a Japanese computer scientist at Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering, Center for Computational Sciences, University of Tsukuba. His research interests includes Monte-Carlo Tree Search applied to Shogi. His paper A Shogi Program based on Monte-Carlo Tree Search [1] won the 2010 ICGA Journal Award.
