In his Ph.D. thesis Brügmann elaborated on [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_gravity quantum] [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_relativity general relativity] in the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loop_representation_in_gauge_theories_and_quantum_gravity loop representation] and [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashtekar_variables Ashtekar variables].
