Sierra, (Sierra On-Line, Sierra Entertainment Inc.)
was an American video-game developer and publisher founded in 1979 as On-Line Systems by Ken and Roberta Williams, most known for their influential adventure games for the home- and personal computer market, King's Quest and Leisure Suit Larry by Al Lowe. In 1996 sold to CUC International, Sierra was merged and later owned by Vivendi Games, until in 2008 the Sierra trademark was absorbed into Activision Blizzard and closed down later that year [1].
