Natalia Parés Vives, (born as Josep Parés Vives) [2]
a Catalan trans woman, chess player and FIDE master. Josep Parés was two times runner-up at Catalan Chess Championship, 1975 and 1987. In 2008, with her female gender and given name, Natalia Parés Vives participated at the Women's Chess Olympiad in Dresden, 2008 for Spain [3].
As former computer chess programmer, Josep Parés was author of the chess program Tigran, which participated in Spanish Computer Chess Championships. Along with Teresa Canela, he reported on the first two Spanish Computer Chess Championships in the ICCA Journal, the SCCC 1993 and the SCCC 1994.
