BBchess
BBchess,
a chess program by Bernard Brioit. The engine part was written in Pascal, its own GUI written in Delphi.
BBchess uses the 0x88 Board representation and performs an improved MTD(f) search on top of iterative deepening and applies Null move pruning with a depth reduction of 3 [1].
It uses two transposition tables, and supports the Thompson endgame databases with three and four pieces [2].
Tournament Play
BBchess played all French Computer Chess Championships from FCCC 1996 until its last occurence at the FCCC 2004, as well the French Programmers Tournaments from Massy 2001 until Massy 2006.
