Ryan W. Porter,
an American chess player and FIDE master, mathematician, software engineer and angel investor.
He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics on game-theoretic aspects of multi-agent systems from Stanford University in 2004 under advisor Yoav Shoham.
As undergraduate at MIT during the late 90s, Ryan Porter was member of the team in developing the CilkChess massive parallel computer chess program [2].
