Pawn,
a Windows freeware chess program by Thomas Starke, multiple versions released from May 2003 until September 2011 [2].
Pawn comes with an own 2D graphics board graphical user interface and requires DirectX 7 or higher.
It features a transposition table, selective search, own opening book, Novag Universal Electronic Chess Board support and adjustable playing strength in several options.
