Jonatan Pettersson,
a Swedish computer scientist and Java developer. He is author of the chess engine Mediocre, written in Java [2], and maintains the Mediocre Chess blog, covering the development of his engine and various topics on chess programming, also recently announcing he is working on a new bitboard based Java engine [3].
