Glen Brent Pepicelli, (June 22, 1975 - May 10, 2012
of Niskayuna was an American computer scientist, programmer and consultant.
His interests did include Java, OOP, C++, Perl, Linux and Open Source

He contributed to various computer science areas, at Wikipedia on Stax and Bitboards.
His excellent publication Bitwise Optimization in Java: Bitfields, Bitboards, and Beyond at O'Reilly's OnJava.com site [2]
about Bit-Twiddling and Bitboards was highly recognized by the chess programming community. Glen Brent Pepicelli died at age 36 on May 10, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer [3].
