Tarrasch,
a free, UCI compliant, cross platform open source chess GUI [1], written by Bill Forster in C++ using wxWidgets, released under the MIT license, first published in 2011 [2].
Since version 3 in November 2016, Tarrasch provides sophisticated Database and chess publishing facilities within a tabbed document interface. Tarrasch 3 for Windows comes with a free compiled database, a PGN opening book, and chess engines, using Stockfish as default engine, including free versions of Komodo, Houdini, Rybka, and its own Tarrasch Toy Engine.
