Sam Sloan [1]

Samuel (Sam) Howard Sloan,
an American chess player, publisher and and politician, during the mid 80s involved in computer chess as chess advisor of Don Dailey and book author of their chess program Rex [2]. When Sam moved to the Middle East he recommended and introduced Larry Kaufman to replace him on the project [3]. In 1999 Sam Sloan claimed cheating by various sides during the 5th WCCC, Cologne 1986, where he participated with Rex [4]. He competed in the World Xiangqi Championship (Chinese Chess) in 2013 [5] and 2015 [6] in Huizhou and in Munich respectively [7]. On September 29, 2015 Sloan filed with the FEC to run for the Democratic Party's 2016 presidential nomination [8].
