Alexandra Palace from the west [1]

The Seventeenth World Microcomputer Chess Championship took place from August 21 to 25, 2000, at Alexandra Palace, North London, United Kingdom in conjunction with the Mind Sports Olympiad and the 5th Computer Olympiad. In a tough fight, Shredder by Stefan Meyer-Kahlen could defend his title with 7/9 and with five wins and four draws, followed by runner-up Fritz with 6½/9, also without loosing a game but five draws.
