Thomas McBurney,
an Australian software developer and as computer chess programmer author of multiple chess engines and tools written in Basic [1], in particular the web broadcast system TLCS/TLCV, the MS-DOS chess program Deep BASIC written in QuickBASIC 4.5, the WinBoard port of Steinwender's and Donninger's Minimax, the 32-bit Windows program Kanguruh written in PowerBASIC, which combines features from Deep BASIC and Minimax [2], and the private engine Wombat [3]. Thomas McBurney is further collector of dedicated chess computers [4].
