Russet potatoe with sprouts [1]

Small Potato, (Unches)
a Chess Engine Communication Protocol compatible open source chess program by Alejandro Dubrovsky, written in C, licensed under the GPL v2.0 [2]. First released (as Unches) in December 2000, Small Potato participated at various Australasian National Computer Chess Championships.

Description

After experience with MTD(f) and standard alpha-beta, the Small Potato sticks with NegaScout inside an iterative deepening framework with aspiration windows, further utilizing transposition table, quiescence search, null move pruning and history move ordering. Move generation is implemented using a 0x88 board.
