Satoru Kawai [1]

Satoru Kawai,
a Japanese physicist, computer scientist and professor at Department of Informatics, Graduate School Program of Informatics, The Open University of Japan, and before until 2007 affiliated with the University of Tokyo. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in physics in 1967 and 1969 respectively, and a Ph.D. in 1976, all degrees from University of Tokyo. His research interests include various topics in computer science, such as computer graphics, programming languages [2] , theory of computation, and construction and selection of evaluation patterns in computer games and general game playing.
