RISC 2500 [1]

RISC 2500, (Saitek RISC 2500, Kasparov RISC 2500) a dedicated chess computer with an ARM6 32Bit RISC Processor at 14 MHz, produced and market by Saitek in 1992, running a The King based program by Johan de Koning. With 128 KB of high-speed static RAM expandable to 2 MB, RISC 2500 applied a state of the art Transposition Table, balanced search-extensions and some checks in quiescence search made the RISC an excellent mate solver. An entertaining and attacking playing style is typical for De Koning programs [2]. The RISC 2500 participated at the WCCC 1992 in Madrid with 3/5, the Manufacturers Group of the WMCCC 1993 in Munich, and the Aegon 1993 and Aegon 1994 man-machine tournaments.
