Predator [1]

Prédateur,
an UCI compatible chess engine by Julien Marcel with focus on programming and playing delight rather than ultimative playing strength. Prédateur is written in Pascal using the Lazarus IDE along with its Free Pascal compiler [2] . Executables are available for Windows, Mac OS and the Amiga compatible MorphOS. Prédateur is build around an alpha-beta framework with various pruning-, reduction-, and extension techniques such as null move pruning, late move reductions and pruning, mate distance pruning, futility- and extended futility pruning, check-, singular reply- and threat extensions. It's evaluation is still very basic, recently recognizing passers and backward pawns. Prédateur 2.2, released in early 2012, is likely the latest Pascal version, as the C++ version is getting mature and closer to delivery [3] .
