Oliver Vornberger [1]

Oliver Vornberger,
a German computer scientist and professor at the University of Osnabrück, since 2017 professor emeritus. In Germany he is pioneer in E-learning, and offers free open online courses on Algorithms and Data structures through the iversity European-based online education platform [2]. During the mid 70s, as undergraduate at University of Dortmund, Oliver Vornberger was member of a project team around Hagen Huwig [3], developing the chess program Proscha, which played the First GI Computer Chess Tournament [4] [5]. Oliver Vornberger holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Paderborn University and worked on parallel search as member of the research group headed by Burkhard Monien. In the early 80s, he was postdoc at University of California, Berkeley, where he worked with Manuel Blum, Richard Karp and Christos H. Papadimitriou, et al. [6].
