Matthias M. Gemuh,
a German former computer chess programmer, and author of the Chess Engine Communication Protocol and UCI compatible chess engines BigLion, Taktix, the engine ArcBishop for 10x8 chess variants, the graphical chess user interface ChessGUI and the tool FindDraw to detect draws in PGN files. On March 28, 2016, Matthias announced his retirement from chess programming and the end of the ChessGUI project [1].
