Martin Fierz,
a Swiss physicist, FIDE Master in chess, and computer chess and checkers programmer. Martin Fierz is professor of physics at Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz, Windisch and CEO of naneos particle solutions, developing and building nanoparticle sensors. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from ETH Zurich, and was postdoc at the Cluster Research Group - Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Hawaii at Manoa. Martin Fierz is author of the Chess Engine Communication Protocol and UCI compatible chess engine Muse [2], the Checkers engine Cake [3] and the Checkers GUI CheckerBoard [4] .
