Marcel van Kervinck [1]

Marcel van Kervinck,
was a Dutch software engineer and metrology. Marcel was author of the chess programs Rookie [2], MSCP (Marcel’s Simple Chess Program) [3], and the UCI engine Floyd for study purposes [4], author of the online opening database Bookie [5], and co-author of the Gigatron retro-style 8-bit microcomputer [6] [7]. From December 2012 until November 2014, he was a member of the board of the CSVN. Marcel van Kervinck passed away on May 25, 2020 [8].
