Kun-Hao Yeh,
a Taiwanese computer scientist affiliated with the Computer Games and Intelligence Lab at National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu headed by professor I-Chen Wu [1]. His research interests include machine learning for computer games and mathematical optimization [2], specially applied to the single-player puzzle game 2048, which was created in March 2014 by Italian web developer Gabriele Cirulli [3], conceptually similar to Threes by Asher Vollmer.

CGI-2048

Along with Chao-Chin Liang and I-Chen Wu, Kun-Hao Yeh is co-author of the 2048 bot CGI-2048, designed and implemented based on a new temporal difference learning method, called Multi-Stage TD Learning, as proposed by I-Chen Wu et al. in 2014 [4]. The method was improved from a TD learning technique with N-Tuple networks, proposed by Marcin Szubert and Wojciech Jaśkowski in 2014 [5]. It won the second place at the 2048-Bot Tournament in in Taipei, Taiwan, from May 19 to June 6, 2014 [6].
