Kieran Greer [1]

Kieran Greer,
a British computer scientist, researcher in artificial intelligence and cognition, and programmer. He completed a DPhil in 1998 at the University of Ulster at Jordanstown with the thesis A Neural Network Based Search Heuristic and its Application to Computer Chess [2] . He introduced the related Chessmaps heuristic, which is applied in his ChessMaps chess playing program, written in C# [3] . Kieran Greer holds a patent of a Chess variant with mined squares [4] .
