Karlson Pfannschmidt, (Kiudee)
a German computer scientist specialized in machine learning, affiliated with the Paderborn University. He designed and published tools for local and distributed tuning of chess engines using state-of-the-art Bayesian optimization [2]. His Bayesian implementation of a sequential model-based optimization, dubbed Bayes-skopt [3] was successfully applied to tune hyperparameters of Leela Chess Zero and its relatives [4].
