Jean-Louis Boussin,
a French computer chess programmer and author of the program Futé, which participated at the WCCC 2005 in Reykjavík. He coined the term Plan of Attack, apparently a pre-processing technique at the root to control the search and evaluation as implemented in Futé [1].

Jean-Louis is explaining the 'plan of attack' in Futé to Stefan and Gian-Carlo, WCCC 2005 [2]
