Jan Eric Larsson [1]

Jan Eric Larsson,
a Swedish computer scientist, president, CEO, and founder of GoalArt [2], and professor of information technology at Lund University, where he already obtained his Ph.D. in automatic control in 1992. He was then postdoc at Stanford University. His research interests include applied artificial intelligence, automatic control, real-time monitoring and diagnosis, multilevel flow modeling, and game playing.

Mobility

In his 1987 note Challenging that Mobility is Fundamental [3] , Larsson questions Dap Hartmann's definition of mobility based on legal or pseudo-legal moves, as well as distinct or total attacked squares [4], but favors weighting of squares toward the center or the enemy king, safe mobility, and mobility based on pawn structure or even more complex second order computations.
